Rare Birds Scotland. Since 1970 willow tit numbers have declined by a shocking 91. Dozens of birdwatchers who travelled to a Scottish island to see an extremely rare swift have been left distraught after it was killed by a wind.
From 1 March 2021 it will be illegal to intentionally kill injure or take Mountain Hares at any time across Scotland unless a licence is obtained. Scotlands Mountain Hares are to be given greater protection under regulations introduced to the Scottish Parliament on 27 January. This is one of those birds that isnt all that rare but to see one here in the UK is very rare indeed.
