Olympic Peninsula Bird List. The best thing for me has been learning so much about the birds of the north Olympic Peninsula. You have to get lucky with tides and currents.
Our mild winter supports large numbers of ocean birds including waterfowl. The list is organized by bird families which is typical for bird guide books. For more information call 360-681-4076 or email.
This is a comprehensive listing of the bird species recorded in Olympic National Park which is in the US.
The Olympic BirdFest is a partnership of the Olympic Peninsula Audubon Society Dungeness River Audubon Center and Jamestown SKlallam Tribe. This list is presented in the taxonomic sequence of the Check-list of North and Middle American Birds 7th edition through the 61st Supplement published by the American Ornithological Society AOS. These are just a few of the many birds -- about 300 species in all -- that add color and song to the diverse habitats found in Olympic National Park. An additional resource for knowing what birds are currently being seen across the northern Olympic Peninsula can be found here a list dedicated to tracking and recording the current status of birds from the mountains to the ocean and all habitats in-between.
